We often concentrate on the effect mold has on those with asthma, other respiratory ailments, or compromised immune systems. Although mold seems to have particularly negative effect on individuals with these problems, this article shows that even those in good health can suffer ill effects from mold.

The scientists involved in the study did not find a conclusive correlation between mold and otherwise healthy people experiencing problems. However, they did note “robust scientific evidence” of “cough, wheeze, and upper respiratory symptoms in otherwise healthy individuals” in the presence of building dampness and visible mold.
